SUMMARY:Winter Canoeing Course on Lake Saimaa in Puumala
DESCRIPTION:Winter paddling adds a new dimension to the sport. You can pa
 ddle even in winter—in other words\, practically anytime you can find 
 open water to paddle on. Come join us to try out and practice winter pad
 dling on Lake Saimaa. In this winter paddling course\, we’ll dive righ
 t into the joys and challenges of winter paddling\, with safety as our t
 op priority.\n\nYou can participate in the course if you already have so
 me kayaking experience and can handle the basics of kayaking on your own
  (efficient forward paddling\, able to paddle trips of at least five kil
 ometers\, and steer a kayak).\n\nThe course is led by paddling instructo
 rs and winter paddlers Juho Paaso and Sanna Korhonen. \n\nSCHEDULE\n\nTh
 e course begins on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with a safety lecture on winter k
 ayaking. On Saturday and Sunday\, we’ll practice winter paddling skill
 s\, and at the end of the course\, the most enthusiastic participants ca
 n take part in night paddling exercises. The course ends on Sunday at ap
 proximately 3:00 p.m.\n\nDuring the course\, you’ll learn the basics o
 f winter paddling safety and proper gear preparation\, both in theory an
 d in practice.\n\nWe’ll send a more detailed course schedule and gear 
 list to those who have registered.\n\nCOURSE FEE: €360 (incl. VAT)\n\n
 If you bring your own paddling gear: €280 (Note: A drysuit is mandator
 y.) You can rent just a drysuit for the duration of the course for €60
 . \n\nThe course is limited to a maximum of 10 participants\, so sign u
