 e premiere on October 24\, 2002\, at Studio Pasila. Written by Irish pla
 ywright Marie Jones and directed by Pentti Kotkaniemi\, the production h
 as drawn massive audiences over the course of its more than 20-year run.
 \n\n“The play’s success is\, of course\, a confidence-boosting\, dre
 amlike\, and encouraging experience\, but ultimately it’s just a play 
 that’s performed and taken on tour across Finland—a child among chil
 dren. We can’t pat ourselves on the back under this pretext\, but it
 ’s good training for acting\, and it seems to resonate with the audien
 ce as well. “The best and most rewarding part of this is the audience\
 , their reactions\, and that sense of reciprocity—they get something o
 ut of it\, and so do we\,” Martti Suosalo sums up. “Yes\, and even t
 hough it’s obviously great that this production is making theater hist
 ory\, in a way you don’t really think of it that way. We always take i
 t one performance at a time\, and we do it specifically for that audienc
 e\,” Mika Nuojua continues. \n\nThe play tells the story of a film sho
 ot in the Irish countryside\, where locals Charlie Conlon (Suosalo) and 
 Jake Quinn (Nuojua) work as extras. The duo switches roles on the fly\, 
 playing not only the main characters but also all of the play’s approx
