Crusell Bridge – A Walking Destination in Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari
A cable-stayed bridge completed in 2011 that connects Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari. The walkways along the edges of the bridge offer a great spot for a leisurely stroll along the canal.
The Crusell Bridge connects the Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari neighborhoods at Länsisatamankatu. Opened in 2011, the cable-stayed bridge is 173.5 meters long, and its pylons, rising nearly 50 meters high, stand out against the canal landscape. There are paths for pedestrians and cyclists on both sides of the bridge; the center is reserved for car traffic and trams. You can explore this outdoor attraction on a self-guided city walk along the waterfront areas of Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari. Stay on the paths designated for pedestrians, be mindful of other traffic, and follow any local access restrictions. There are no set operating hours for this site. Contact information is provided by Helsinki Tourist Information, which offers advice on the city’s attractions and getting around; there is no on-site staff available at the bridge.
