Iso-Ruuhijärvi is an outdoor and recreational fishing center located in Kajaani, and it is one of the most popular recreational fishing destinations in Kainuu. Ruuhijärvi is only 14 kilometers from Kajaani.

Come relax and go fishing! Iso-Ruuhijärvi covers an area of about 45 hectares. The fish species found here include rainbow trout, brown trout, pike, perch, and whitefish. The area around Iso-Ruuhijärvi also features a traditional Finnish hut, a lean-to, and numerous campfire sites.
