The Runeberg House in Porvoo preserves the atmosphere of the 1860s in the home of Johan Ludvig and Fredrika Runeberg and their family. The rooms feature the family’s furniture, art, tableware, and historic houseplants. A visit to the museum offers insight into the daily life and cultural history of the writer couple in their original setting. Starting October 7, the exhibition “The Right to Learn,” which explores the history of the Porvoo School for the Deaf, will also be on display.
