The Nukari School Museum is housed in Nurmijärvi’s first elementary school building, where classes began in 1873. An old classroom, blackboards, ink pens, and items related to school meals offer a glimpse into what school was like in the past. The museum is located near Nukarinkoski, so you can combine your visit with outdoor activities in the area. Guided tours are available by advance reservation from Monday through Saturday for groups of up to 25 people. In addition, the museum has two scheduled open house days in the fall of 2026. The museum building is not wheelchair accessible.
