Nummistenkoski is a stretch of rapids on the Mustijoki River in the village of Nummisten, located between the Nordbo Bridge and the old mill dam. The rapids are part of the guided Mustijoki canoeing route. The official route guide directs paddlers to land before the bridge on the right side of the river (as the river flows) and to bypass the rapids via a marked trail leading down to the lower swimming beach. Do not attempt to paddle down the rapids in a canoe. You can explore the area on your own via public and marked trails; private yards and buildings are off-limits. According to the municipality, the use of landing sites has been agreed upon with the landowners. Follow the up-to-date signs on-site and be mindful of water levels and weather conditions.
