Porvoo Cathedral is a historic stone church located on the hill in Old Porvoo and is the city’s main attraction. The Late Gothic building serves both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking congregations. You can explore the church on your own during visiting hours. A digital audio guide is also available, presenting the church’s history and artifacts in several languages. In October, the church is usually open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sundays and holidays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; it is closed on Mondays. Church services and other events may affect visiting hours, so please check for any exceptions before your visit. The summer guided tour schedule does not apply to this fall visiting period.
