Porcelain Courtyard – The Arabianranta Art District
The Arabianranta art environment at Posliinipiha. Explore on your own from the street and along the walkways through the shared courtyards, while respecting the residents’ peace and quiet.
Posliinipiha is a street between the residential blocks of Arabianranta, near Toukola Waterfront Park. In this area, art is integrated into the buildings and their surroundings: Esa Vesmanen’s *Taikakivet* (Magic Stones) is associated with the Ankkuri building at Posliinipiha 6, with its bronze sculptures situated on the waterfront side of the courtyard. Posliinipiha is bordered by the shared courtyards of Aavikkotuuli and Auringonnousu. According to Arabia Service, a walkway runs through the shared courtyards, but the courtyards and their recreational and play equipment are primarily intended for the residents. You can explore the art environment on your own from the public street and through the walkways, while respecting the residents’ privacy. Visitor access is not permitted to the interiors of the buildings or to private courtyard areas. Contact information is available from the contact person at Arabia Service, which is responsible for the area’s shared courtyards and art. The office’s business hours do not correspond to the visiting hours for the outdoor areas.
