An easy 4-kilometer loop trail in the southern part of Nuuksio. Forest trails and a view of Soidinsuo. Starts at Siikaranta; not maintained in winter.
The Soidinkierros Trail is a 4-kilometer loop trail in the southern part of Nuuksio National Park, on the Kirkkonummi and Vihti side. You should allow about 1.5–2 hours to complete this flat trail. The trail winds through pine and spruce forests, and from its northern section, you can take a short detour of just over 100 meters to the rocky outcrop at the edge of Soidinsuo. From the bench, you’ll have a view of Nuuksio’s largest open bog. The trail is rated as easy, but the narrow sections have roots and rocks. You can walk the loop in either direction. The starting point is the Siikaranta parking area near Hotel Nuuksio; the operator’s directions point to Naruportintie 68. The map marker indicates a section of the trail, not the hotel’s front desk. Bring drinking water and a trash bag. There are no restrooms, water sources, campsites, or trash cans along the trail. The trail is not maintained in winter, so assess trail conditions before your hike. The phone number listed is the general switchboard of the trail’s maintainer, Metsähallitus.
