Lohja Harju Trail

Self-guided hiking trails in Lohjanharju. Start at Runokatu 1 or Kaivurikatu 1; route options of varying lengths, with some challenging hills.

The Harju Trail in Lohja is part of the city’s network of outdoor trails through the esker landscape. You can start the trails from the Harju Sports Center at Runokatu 1 or from the starting point at Kaivurikatu 1. According to the current description provided by the maintainer, the Harju “Six” is a roughly 6.5-kilometer-long, illuminated trail with a stone-dust surface. Its level, approximately four-meter-wide path is mostly easy to navigate, but it includes one steep climb and a few more challenging descents. The Sorakuopan loop, part of Harjun Kutonen, is a shorter alternative at about 2.1 kilometers. The approximately 5.5-kilometer Neidonraitti trail bypasses the most challenging hills of Harjun Kutonen. Choose a route based on your fitness level, the weather, and the trail signs. When hiking on your own, be considerate of other trail users and do not litter on the trails. Motorized vehicles and horses are prohibited; pets must be kept on a leash, and during the ski season, specific times apply for them. The trail network is maintained by Lohjan Liikuntakeskus Oy. The contact number belongs to the sports facility manager.
