Munkinpolku is a short, self-guided local history trail on Munkinmäki Hill in downtown Kirkkonummi. The eMuseo guide, linked by the municipality, provides information about the hill’s early settlements, the remains of the manor buildings, and the trees in the area. The terrain features stone foundations, terraced areas, and traces of the Porkkala lease period. You can follow the guide’s points of interest on your own phone. The route is outdoors; public access to the interiors of the buildings or their accessibility has not been confirmed. Major renovations to streets and pedestrian paths are underway in the vicinity of Munkinmäentie; the municipality estimates these will continue until spring 2027. Please follow the temporary signage on-site and avoid construction zones. The new “Munkinpolku” trail in the street plan is a different location than the local nature trail on the hill.
